Subject: Making A Transparent Ice Block? Mon Mar 02, 2009 5:31 pm
Okay, I have made a hedge prop mesh in Blender which can be seen here:
I was wondering if it was possible to change the texture to give it an ice blocky look. But then I want the block to be transparent/translucent, so that way when I add the prop to a costume or use it on the set dressing, the actor that is "frozen" inside the ice block is somewhat visible. I was thinking you had to do something with the textures so maybe a translucent texture on a transparent background. I need this effect for my batman series and for my Teen X series, where a character is frozen in ice. Advice or tips would be handy.
